Do You Have Your Own Back? Or How to become a Goddess .

Yes, I’m talking self love!
Have you ever stepped up publicly to your own power?
Would you ever consider wearing your own face on your back?

I can hear it now … the sharp intake of breath as if I’ve just asked something deeply taboo.
But isn’t that vain? you ask.
My answer to that is straightforward: who cares? If you don’t have your back , who will?
As women step into the magical portal of menopause, the sudden drop of oestrogen causes a shift in our thinking. Instead of focusing on on every one else, putting everyone else’s needs first, we suddenly wake up to an awareness of our own needs and the bubbling up of rage begins. It’s the Kali moment . The Medusa metamorphosis. And it is to be celebrated.

So many women have taken the brave and audacious step of allowing me to depict them as goddesses on their own garments . It is truly an honour to do this transformative work , because once a woman puts on her medicine robe with a hand painted portrait of herself on the back that forces her to stand in her full power , taking up space , physically and energetically, I always sense a shift. I can feel her rise towards herself and start to understand her true potential. She now has her own back and anyone who stands behind her will witness this transformation and feel the power of a woman who knows her worth.

I specialise in portrait kimonos, where your image (or a loved one’s) is painted directly into the design of the garment. This creates a deeply personal piece of wearable art — part clothing, part artwork, and fully one-of-a-kind. Each portrait kimono is hand-painted in my London studio.
I also create memorial pieces where you can have the image of a dearly departed loved one on your back. I’ve been told that these pieces are particularly powerful and hold deep resonance and bring much comfort and support to those wearing it.

Are you ready to step up and honour the goddess in you with a hand painted portrait robe?
Or commemorate the memory of a loved one in an artistic and soulful way?
