FAQ
A few questions that you might have. Any others, please get in touch via email.
How long do commissions take>
Most bespoke garments take between two to four weeks to complete depending on complexity and my current waiting list. I'll always give you a clear timeline before we start. Urgent orders ( less than a two week notice ) are subject to a 25% surcharge which is non-negotiable.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I ask for a 50% deposit before I start. This secures your place in my schedule and covers materials. Balance is due on completion. For any reason, the job is terminated, I reserve right to keep the deposit to cover my time and any work done.
How do I share my ideas with you?
We begin with a conversation/ consultation. This can be done over Facetime or via text.
You can send me mood boards, colours you love, lists of words that resonate, or images that spark joy. Once I receive the inspiration material, simply trust me to translate your story into the piece. Every commission is a collaboration.
I must stress though, due to my creative process of working in flow, ( once I start, I am very fast)I am not open to constant interuptions and changes. This disrupts the entire process. You have to trust me so I can trust myself.
If a portrait is involved, I shall, however, run it past you before committing to fabric so I know we are both happy with likeness/etc.
What size options are available?
Most of my robes and kimonos are free-size and designed to flow with the body .If you'd prefer a more fitted piece, or have particular requirements, let me know. I can work to your measurements. I believe wearable art should celebrate all bodies.
Do you accept returns?
All bespoke commissions are non-returnable as they are created especially for you.
Ready made shop pieces : I accept returns within 14 days if unworn and in original condition.
Sale items are non-returnable.
