I’ve spent a few days down a Christian Nationalist rabbit hole , trying to get to understand what is going on over in the States. The trad wife and the concept of ( shiver) “alpha” men is core to the belief system as the wives sign up fully to be submissive in their support of their Patriarchs. 
This creates a culture that is very similar to a cult.

The back applique features a lion, both a symbol of courage ( to escape the cult and / or walk an independent life path) and a symbol of Patriarchy ( lion being the head of the pride , doing nothing except impregnating the lionesses. )
