Here I’ve been inspired by the colour purple and have combined some of my most beautiful fabrics in shades of lavender, lilac and blackberry, many of them generously embellished with sequins for that extra sparkle . Cool cotton with gold over print .Vintage velvet Indian bridal braid adds extra dimension to the colour palette . Large deep pockets on the front . 
The back features a beautiful textile collage of Frida Kahlo surrounded by foil printed florals and embroidered , sequinned floral applique to create a rich statement.  Two foil sugar skulls add to the visual mix and speak about her rich culture and how the acceptance of death became part of living life to the full . 
These elements are repeated on the front of the garment to pull it all together.
